Immigration debate by Sarah Oviedo

Obama wants to change executive laws about immigration but the House cons. are pushing against his plans in this making due to disagreements on this action. The House of cons. is trying to cut back on the governments spending on new green cards for these immigrants. Obama has been spending in order to benefit immigrants but others are disagreeing and feel the need to act against these policies and choosing to take action rather than just speaking up for how they feel. The House wants to cut back on expenses in order to stir away from a government shut down. This can impact the US because it will lead to unemployment rates increasing due to the increase in people in the US who do not or will not have a job. Many Americans already struggle with finding a job so this could lead to tension about decision making when it comes to certain factors due to an increase in population, etc.

I personally believe that Obama has the right to come up with a decision and follow through with what he believes. He is in this position to try and make good out of something that can impact others lives. George Washington had many ideas and he chose to follow through because he had a vision for everyone to see. Many could and probably did disagree but that comes with having opinions, decision making, and being in charge. There will always be change and immigration is not harming anyone. It is a positive contribution to adding culture to our society and creating diversity. There wouldn't be diversity today without change.

  1. I believe that he has good intentions, but since America is drowning so deep in debt, the house of conservatives are really trying to keep in perspective that amount of debt that we owe and not increasing it a substantial amount. This reminds me of the debut over the first political parties in America and their views over debt in America.
