13 Years- Lauren Kuehmeier, Period 2

One World Trade Center will be reopening for the first time since the attacks on September 11, 2001 in lower Manhattan. The building is one hundred and four stories; stretching 1,776 feet in the air. The architects behind the rebirth of the building are Daniel Libeskind and David Childs. The design took 2 years itself to complete and might be one of the most convoluted structures to execute because of all the safety features it includes like a twenty story bomb resistant base. While it may not be of the essence for other buildings to incorporate, it goes without saying that World Trade Center needed the ensured safety not on just on a pacifical level but on a symbolic level.
For this structure to be reborn after the horrible tragedy that was 9/11 means that it is more than just a building. This building holds importance to every family member or friend of a loved one and it should not be shameful of its past but grow because of it. The One World Trade Center will be stronger than it ever has before.

  2. It's so inspiring to know that the World Trade Centers are able to keep moving forward even after such attacks.
