Two Men charged for Shooting of Texas Game Warden. Juliana Cortez Pd.3

Recently two men have been arrested and charged for being in connection with the shooting of Texas Parks and then earlier this week, Wildlife Department game warden. The two men, who came to Texas for the holidays, were taken in custody by game wardens earlier this Tuesday. following with an investigation by TPWD game wardens, Texas rangers and the Delta County Sheriff's office. The charges come from the shooting that Sunday of Game Warden Chris Fried, 31. Fried was off duty and bow hunting on the Cooper Wildlife Management area when the incident happened around 6 pm.

according to the investigations, Fried had been sitting in a blind on the wildlife management area, when he saw light and heard what he thought to be a electronic game call. The Warden went into law enforcement mode and left his stand to investigate what he thought to be an illegal hunt on state property. Seconds later, as he was walking into the light, Fried was hit by a bullet. Investigators have confirmed that the shot came from a private property of the WMA.
