The arrival of the month November means one and one thing only, "Diabetes Month"
Senior executive director of the North Texas chapter American Diabetes Association, Quin Neal, says that latest studies show that there are 29 million Americans with Diabetes and that 29 million is not only adults. Neal states that the tole on health from diabetes can sever with Kidney failure, heart disease, and blindness. He has said that 95 percent of who are living with diabetes have type 2, which has a easy solution.. Healthier lifestyle. He points out "Many people, once they are at risk for diabetes can be great, if they would lose just 10 percent of their body weight through increased exercise and watching what they eat and eat right, they can reduce their risk for diabetes considerably." If the current trends don't change, it is estimated that by 2050, 30 percent of Americans will be living with diabetes.

The increase in adult onset type 2 diabetes makes me wonder what is to come for America. It seems that the food industry is more conceded with making food faster, cheaper, and tastier rather than actually caring out providing nutrients.
ReplyDeleteI read this poste while eating a molotov cocktail of M&M's, potato chips, and nutella. Then I thought about diabetes runs in the women of my family. Then I stopped eating nutella.
ReplyDeleteNow I really want some Nutella. Honestly I don't know how I could give up the American diet because I love unhealthy food so much.
DeleteThis is what happens when a state is run as incompetently as Texas is. Selfishness and ambivalence lead to the suffering of the people.
ReplyDeleteWe need to educate our younger generations on the negative effects of a poor diet. Parents are the very first people who have a major influence on children's lives, so we need to educate our parents into converting to a healthier lifestyle.
