More than two years after fox entertainment executive Gavin Smith went missing in southern California, his body has been found. His body was found in a shallow grave in Palmdale and became a "crucial piece of evidence" according to Lt. Dave Dolson of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's department. Dolson states that have a "pretty good picture" of what happened but won't release the details. They had already inferred from evidence that he had been killed in his car, which was found a year ago in a storage facility, and there seemed to be trauma on the body. The owner of the facility, John Creech, had been sentenced to prison for unrelated drug charged. He remains a person of interest.

This whole incident reminds me of what Max, the holocaust survivor that spoke to booker t. students at the holocaust museum a couple weeks ago, said. He said that we need to stop getting so caught up in why something happened and more on how can we stop this in the future.
Also, with a last name like Creech...
Yeah exactly! This reminds me of what Max said to us too!
ReplyDeleteThat really is a strange and terribly sad incident, but I'm glad to hear of the sense of closure put upon the situation by the finding of the man. Hopefully some information as to the circumstances of the situation will be revealed. But Max seems to be wise on the subject of moving on, and I agree in the statement that we must all endeavor to prevent future incidents, not revel on the past.
