Solar Panels in California- Ellen Fritz

California homebuyers will soon face new expenses: solar panels built into the roof to reduce energy use. The California Energy Commission voted unanimously to adopt new energy efficiency standards, including the implementation of solar panels on roofs of houses. These new standard will benefit both the environment and homeowners lifestyles, says the CEC.
I believe this to be a huge step forward in environmental conservation. Alternate energy sources will begin reducing the amount of greenhouse gases released by burned fossil fuels in the atmosphere. Global warming will hopefully be slowed, beginning with California's new laws. I relate this to the OPEC Oil Crisis, when the president urged new energy resources to be found.
