Today, thousands of Palestinians had gathered to protest the opening of the U.S embassy in Jerusalem; however 55 protesters were shot and killed by Israeli forces.About 2,770 people have been reported injured. The Palestinian authority president, Mahmoud Abbas, called it a massacre. The U.S has put the blame on a Palestinian Islamist group called the Hamas. Trump has recognized Jerusalem as the official capital, and moved the embassy to Tel Aviv.
What happened was a tragedy, the protesters were expressing their opinion on the matter, and should be allowed to do it freely. The U.S has no business intervening in foreign affairs, especially those that have been going on for years.
