Trump lawsuit- Madi Haggard

On Monday evening Sixteen states filed a lawsuit against Donald Trump's national emergency declaration.  The states, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Virginia, and California, filed the lawsuit in the US District Court.  This lawsuit is the most recent attack on the Trump administration.  The basis of each lawsuit argues Trump is bypassing Congress by declaring an emergency to fund the wall along the US-Mexico border.

This article shows how some leaders of our country are self-preserving and manipulative.  I reported this article because I think it is important to remember what goes on in this world and be aware of our leader's actions.  This article was published Feb. 18, 2019, and was made to inform people of political actions happening in their country.

  1. I'm glad that there are still checks in place that are preventing Trump from exerting complete control. It gives me hope that our system is not irreparably broken.
