U.S. Employers added an average of 223,000 jobs in 2018, and the number is swelling, due in part to the government shut down.
This relates to the Gilded Age because like in the today, the Gilded Age gave us new opportunities to jobs in factories and assembly lines. Unfortunately what came with that was bad regulations and loss of autonomy. Today, we may have hundreds more jobs but they are in the first sector, mining and construction. This means these jobs are temporary, and due to The President rolling back safety rules, they’re dangerous jobs.
Wow. It’s as if history is repeating itself. I hope the regulations for these jobs are fixed to promote safety. Lily Philips
