A man, Richard Merritt, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison as well as 15 years on probation. He has been charged with stealing money from his clients and elder abuse. The court ruled him guilty for crimes on more than 30 counts concerning theft, forgery and elder exploitation. He was given time to get his business in order before his sentence but, instead, Merritt cut off his ankle monitor and ran. The day after Merritt’s ordered surrender, Shirley Merritt, his mother, was found dead.
This shows how some people are kind of insane. I reported this article because I think it is important to remember what goes on in this world.
