NAFTAs future is still unknown after President Trump continuously makes decisions that put the balanced trade deal in jeopardy. Recently, Trump has been insisting on higher tariffs between Mexico and the USA, hoping to create more jobs in the USA, but its been doing just the opposite. With the new tariffs, the prices have gone up in the auto industry, causing less jobs to open up. Simultaneously, he is doing the same thing with the dairy industry in Canada. Prior to reading this article, I did a project on it in AP Human Geography, so I knew how the trading between the USA, Canada, and Mexico used to be, or how it was supposed to be. This article was meant for the masses, to inform people how exactly Trump is destroying our international trade and relationships. This article washy the editorial board at The New York Times, so I think this article is reliable, and the point of view provides good insight on the topic. This article is important today because this topic is effecting thousands of working Americans and thousands of working people internationally, just because of Trumps bad decision after bad decision.
