Summary:
Christopher Lee Watts, a father to Bella, age 4, and Celeste, the age of 3, has been charged with first-degree killing for the killings of his children and his pregnant wife, Shannon. He claims that he lost control of himself after seeing his daughter Bella, dead, and his wife strangling his daughter Celeste from the baby monitor. Christopher said, on the same date, August 13, he and Shannon were speaking of divorce since Watts was having an affair with a co-worker, making them both distressed, which may have led to why Shannon allegedly killed their children. He confessed to loading their bodies in his truck and leaving them at an oil work site afterward. Authorities do not know how the victims indeed died since they've been submerged in crude oil for about four days. Many people believed that Shannon and Christopher were a happy couple, but they had filed for bankruptcy. They were struggling from more than $50,000 in credit card debt and $400,000 mortgage. This article was published by Deanna Paul and Kristine Phillips on August 20, 2018. It reminds me of Robert William Fisher who was a thirty nine year old Navy veteran. He shot his wife, Mary Fisher in the head and cut the throats of his thirteen year old daughter and ten year old son, then blew up their Arizona house after. This happened on April 10, 2001, and he still has not been found. Nobody knows if he's died or still in hiding. I think its relevant to know about this article because it shows us to not be too trusting in people because they not be as they seem. The Watts family seemed perfect on the outside, on account of their neighbors, but later it was obvious that wasn't really the case.
