" Finding Human Trafficking victims During Treatment"-Yesenia Ramirez

In this article the author talks about the real meaning behind human trafficking which is that victims whether it's adults or kids are being forced into commercial sex industry or forced labor .This could happen all around the world without none of us noticing for instance the author mentioned that some victims were being hidden in plain sight and were being sold in peoples backyards. While i was reading this article i noticed that her point of view was more personal because she mentions that she wants to to something to improve this issue and also that she works with people who were victims and know have mental health issues. The way she also talks in the article lets us know that she is kind of upset that the government isn't fully aware of this issue. So my view on this is that the reason that society doesn't fully acknowledge this is because of the time period that we live in know days which makes people think that this can't happen or is rare the case when it occurs. Also that some people might not see this as a big issue, but it also depends were you might live. This relates back to our history on when slavery was a huge deal and also know days on whats happening in Mexico with all the people going missing.
