Trump Hits China With Tariffs on $200 Billion in
Goods, Escalating Trade War
By: Grayson Decker
Trump imposed a $200 billion dollar tariff recently on China, an economic powerhouse. But, since China is the main exporter of almost all manufactured goods, a trade war with China is not what America needs. With these tariffs on nearly half of all Chinese products, They would have no reason not to cut off trade with America since they have the worlds largest economy and although it would hurt it, It would hurt us more.
Tariffs have always been an issue going way back to pre-revolution. The colonists had unreasonable tariffs with things like the stamp acts, tea acts, and sugar acts. Tariffs were so unfair to the colonists that they rebelled, which is what may happen economically with China and America.

This was a perfectly timed article, because it helps review knowledge on the test we just took as well show us ideas from chapter 10 where Hamilton favors taxes.
