Trump's trade war with China is about to get a whole lot bigger
Summary:
This article informs us about the recent war of tariffs between the United States and China. Recently Trump's administration imposed new 10% tariffs $200 billion of Chinese goods after midnight, spanning thousands of products, including seafood seasonings, baseball gloves, network routers and industrial machinery parts.Soon after the US released these news China replied back by imposing new taxes of 5% to 10% on $60 billion of US goods such as meat, chemicals, clothes, and auto parts. The measures are meant to punish China for what the Trump administration says are unfair trade practices, such as intellectual property theft. The most recent news of the tariff war is that the US tariffs is set to increase at the end of the year from 10% to 25%. China hasn't yet responded to that.Trump administration officials have said that the ultimate goal is to achieve free trade with zero tariffs and zero subsidies on both sides. Many companies and consumers from both countries are already paying the price. Prices are likely to rise on a wide variety of items. Both countries need supplies from the opposite country. How will China respond ? What will happen ?I believe that both countries need to come to an agreement and decide what will happen. It is unfair that companies and consumers are having to pay the price for their country's leaders decisions. I think that if they do come to an agreement it should be one that benefits both sides and work out for everyone.

I think that the costumers should not have to pay more just because the country’s leaders are having a feud
ReplyDeleteI agree that it isn’t fair that companies have to pay the price for the leaders decisions and really need to make a decision.
