kiana sanderson home school
summery: A mom in Columbus, Ohio took her kid out of public school and started to home school and saw lot of improvements in her child's work. With this she wanted to continue the next year. The school told her to fill out this paper work send it end saying that she was going to keep home schooling, when asked about a deadline, she was told there wasn't one. So that September she sends in the paper work and gets a court notice in return saying that she kept her kid out of school for six weeks. the judge tried to give the mom six months in jail, but this was later revoked and all is well that ends well.
analysts: The fact that the school board told the mother that there were no deadlines and also that the child was obviously being taught because he scored in the 97th percentile on major testing , makes no sense as to why they would try to send her to court. the mother is obviously doing something right considering the kid excelled tremendously after being taken out of public school. The court needs to spend more time on actual criminal cases.
