The authors of this article were trying to tell the reader of the terrible incident. This event is basically normal, considering how frequently events like these happen, and I feel helpless in realizing that I wont able to stop them. It's scary how events like these unfold with the possibility that it could happen to any of us. This topic relates to the controversy surrounding gun control, the Second Amendment, and the court case United States v. Cruikshank. This can be synthesized to the Boston Massacre surrounding the American Revolution.
This past Friday, October 14, a shooter opened fire into a crowded house-based Jamaican restaurant in Los Angeles, CA. 12 men were injured, and 3 were killed. The police arrived as soon as possible after the incident was reported. The police have questioned two people with a possible connection to the shooting but no arrests have been made yet. All 12 injured were still in the hospital on Saturday morning, and some were in critical condition, but the names have not been released to the public.

This is really sad and scary. Something like this could happen to anyone and that is awful.
