A father posted a video of him explaining to his son that his wife died the night before due to drug abuse. The son, 8 years old, gave approval to post the video online. In the video, the boy is shocked and upset. The video got over 35 million views in one week. many people are disgusted on the recording but the father states that it is to spread awareness to addicts with children.
Personally, I agree. Parents who are addicted to drugs, alcohol etc. need to put their children before themselves, whether that be asking for help or quitting. As a parent, you decided to dedicate part of your life to raising a child and if something happens to you or you aren't there for them, their life changes drastically.

Although some might be shocked that this personal experience has been shared, I believe that this might be the wake up that we need as a community. drug use is a huge problem that needs awareness so we can end it.
ReplyDeleteThis absolutely needs to be spread. Drug abuse is a major problem especially when children are involved. It's important that people speak out against it .

ReplyDeleteThe children of drug abuse are some times the most affected by it (ie: the popular rapper in the 90s) and the fact the man was willing to share such a personal moment on the internet really says something about media today
