Cover Girl has it's first boy- Zia Bella Blair 7th

For the first time in history, a boy has been chosen to represent the famous Cover Girl brand. 17 year-old youtuber and instagramer, James Charles. Charles is beyond excited as he shared this news on October 11, 2016. He is a strong advocate for breaking down social norms. I am personally very excited about this news. It's great to see a happy thing emerging from all the hate and negative things in the world. This is such a great step in ending detrimental gender roles. This teenager is just showing you can do whatever you want no matter gender, sexual orientation or race.

  3. This is really great because the gender norms of our society are still very much in place and to see him breaking them in such a large influencial way is really great!!

  4. It's pretty good, actually. Gender shouldn't mater. He looks good anyways.

  5. This is such a positive thing to happen. I agree, the gender roles are not doing anything to help this world, and it is encouraging to see them starting to break before our eyes. Everyone is beautiful and life is beautiful. People should be able to live it as they wish.

  6. I fully support a boy being the spokesperson for a makeup brand. However, I cannot support CoverGirl, because they test on animals. Breaking gender norms is great, but it was very likely done in this case as a publicity ploy rather than with the intention of bringing about social change.
-Cal Thompson, your resident cynic who just really loves animals like a lot and once his dogs ate their way through a door but it's okay and they're fine now

  7. I'm glad something like this happened, and I hope that gender norms continue to be knocked down.
