Last night a bombing occurred in New York on the 23rd street and 6th Avenue in Manhattan. Around 8:30 p.m. a pressure cooker was in a dumpster and set off, causing destruction and chaos through out the buildings and people around it. The pressure cooker had dark colored wiring around it tapped with what appeared to be a phone and a piece of paper. Police officers, with flashlights and dogs, were searching the streets for maybe another bomb but, only found trash. Many surveillance cameras show the horror of people running and cars speeding out of the explosion area. As one of the videos is of a man helping a woman with a piece of metal in her eye saying "I can't see, I can't see." The Mayor Bill de Blasio says "was an intentional act." and many people think it was an act of terrorism.
And, as one person being in car when the bomb blew up says, "I just blacked out, next thing I know I'm in an ambulance." An eyewitness said " [I] felt a loud explosion and i felt like a lighting bolt struck the building. It, like, shook the ground. Everybody ran out of the restaurant into the street. The whole city was in the street." As 29 people were injured to the accident, it will be grave to recover from.
Analysis:
This article made by Mallory Simon and Time Hune, updated on 1:30 PM ET Sunday, September 18, 2016 talks about the recent bombing accident that occurred in the streets of New York. To me this terrifies and sickens me to what our world has become. Has it gotten to the point where violence is the only answer for action? This articles affects us Americans and how these bombing attacks are no laughing matter. This article helped people from the U.S. and maybe even the world that this is not a good plan, hurting people and causing a destruction in a negative way. This has happened too many times were there has been violence happening the the United States like , 9/11, 1993 World Trade Center bombing, Orlando Shooting, Dallas Sniper Attacks, and many more. Why has our world come to this conclusion? Why would people need to feel this way to hurt us? Is there a deeper meaning to all of this this that we aren't getting? What is the effect that these people what us to think?

It seems like most people's way to deal with problems is with violence. It's very scary to think that someone would just try to kill people due to an issue. People want us to be afraid of them, in which violence does the trick.

Kiri Luckey: I agree violence is never the answer to solving problems. We need to find a way to come together and make peace.
