Lance Jackson (6th period) Nebraska Protests
This week football players of Nebraska university, senior linebacker Michael Rose Ivey, Mohamed Barry, and Daishon Neal were criticized for using their first amendment and following suit after Collin Kapernick by taking a knee during the singing of the national anthem. These players are only exercising their rights, and it is very hypocritical of people to send them death threats and hate because they chose to exert their rights? I just think it's very funny how we see people talking about exerting their "constitutional rights" when they want to use the confederate flag or they want to use their guns.
ReplyDeleteI think that it is a personal decision of these players/player to not stand for the national anthem. The first amendment was created to be exercised by the people of America and should not be questioned as a offense.
