Bombing in New York - Audrey Gavitt

Summary-

On Saturday September 17 at 8:30 pm at the intersection of W. 23rd Street and 6th Avenue in new York city a bomb went off injuring 29 people. After the incident officials believed it to have been a planed attack and suspect Ahmed Khan Rahami was taken into custody on Monday after a shootout against the police in New Jersey. They have surveillance videos of a who the think to be Ahmed Rahami near the site of the explosion carrying a duffel bag. Based on lots of evidence including finger prints found on a cell phone and and unexploded pressure cooker investigators believe that he is connected to both the explosion New York and one in Seaside Park, New Jersey.

This article was written by Evan Perez, Shimon Prokupecz, Emanuella Grinberg and Holly Yan and was published by CNN on Monday September 19. It goes in to great detail about the investigation and what lead the authorities to their arrest. Before reading it I had herd of the bombing but I did now know details about the suspect or any other possible connected events. Terrorist bomb attacks have been going on for a long time now usually in big city's like New York. The first bomb attack on the World Trade Center was in 1993 and things have only gotten worse especially since ISIS has been becoming a larger more dangerous threat.
