Recently, the Department of Homeland Security granted U.S. citizenship to nearly 900 people. People who were earlier ordered to be deported or "removed". This sudden citizenship happened because nearly 150,000 fingerprint records were not digitized. Because of this ordeal, hundreds of people were able to gain U.S. citizen rights and privileges through fraud.
The overall question I have about this topic is what problem was at hand that didn't allow the individuals a possible chance at being U.S. citizens through other means?? I understand the problems that might come with it, but personally I don't get why it's that bad. It wasn't a rather popular article either, which also might hint to it being not as big of a deal. Out of all of this, I'd say this article makes me very curious in what will become of citizenship and citizen's rights in the U.S.

Good point, it is peculiar in that this seemed routine like. Interesting don't think the American people as a whole are very aware about this kind of issue.
