During his interview with CNN in the Oval Office, he commented heavily on the recent development in Israeli-US relations, and their strained nature due to the Iranian nuclear negotiations crisis. He said that although it seemed as though the relations were highly tense and nearing a diplomatic break, the US and Israel were still pursuing common interests and would return to mutual amicability soon enough.
