Death with dignity By wrigley Burris

Brittany Maynard, an advocate for death with dignity, ended her life Saturday in Oregon. She was a terminally ill and diagnosed with brain cancer. She had been experiencing symptoms such frequent and extended seizures, severe head and neck pain, and stroke-like symptoms. As she came to the of her 29 year old life, these symptoms became more frequent. She decided to take the life-ending medicine, prescribed by her doctor, in the arms of family and loved ones Saturday night.

Oregon is one of few states with the death with dignity law. This allows doctors to prescribe life ending medication to terminally ill patients, if they deem fit. Brittany Maynard was one of these patients, and encouraged other states to give the option to patients. The average mean of patients that took this medication has been 71, with only 6 being under the age of 35.

The Connection to APUSH is that people no matter what will go to great lengths to get what they want weather or not its good for them. AN example of this is during the prohibition people still drank  bought and sold a bunch of alcohol. the law didn't stop them.
