On a Saturday afternoon, Baltimore County Police Department was called because of three car break ins. A 16-year-old boy was a suspect and was interviewed at his home where officers learned of his plan to go to Baltimore County Public Schools' George Washington Carver Center for Arts and Technology with two explosive devices and a gun, and that he wanted to kill people. He was originally charged as a juvenile but then changed to charged as an adult.
As I was reading for a current event to write about, I came across an article about a shooting in a Washington school. This seems to be a common occurrence right now. I think that that it is crazy amazing that they were able to stop the potential school shooting. Police work really needs to start heading in the direction of preventing danger instead of investigating why something happened.
