Police say a 3-year-old Ohio girl is in critical condition after being shot in the head by her 4-year-old brother, who found a gun in a dresser.
The shooting occurred around 10 a.m. Sunday in Lorain, about 30 miles west of Cleveland. Police say the two children were playing alone in a bedroom when the boy found a loaded .40-caliber hand.
There are a lot of stories in the past weeks related to shootings. Its unfortunate that this shooting was caused by irresponsible parenting. This goes back to the 2nd amendment and whether or not we should restructure this amendment.Stories like these cause an interesting debate.

I think that this situation is just an outlier. Our ability to carry guns is for our protection. Unfortunately, there will always be unfortunate stories such as this one, but one out of I don't know how many people in the US, is not something that applies to everyone. The law is not what causes these incidents. It's a personal choice to own a gun
ReplyDeleteThe argument for gun regulation is evident in this particular case, but it also brings up the issue of gun safety and how careful people need to be with their weapons, especially with small children.
ReplyDeleteSituations like these only enforce the gun laws restrictions; people continually argue regarding the right to bear arms, but 4 year old children manage to obtain firearms. Granted, constitutional rights shouldn't ideally be infringed upon, but clearly these parents aren't suited to own a gun or have kids.
ReplyDeleteThis is so terrible.Children at such young ages having to deal with these problems. Parents need to be more responsible and be more watchful with their children these days.
