Summary: Nina Dulvuluri was crowned Miss America on September 15 in Atlantic City. She was the first Indian American to be crowned Miss America. Nina studied at the University of Michigan with a degree in brain behavior and cognitive science. She pronounced that as Miss America she will become a spokesperson for STEM and will work with the department of education in Washington D.C. For the talent portion of her audition she performed a traditional Indian dance. Some people were disappointed at the results of the show and people were hating on Nina, saying that she was a terrorist and she didn't deserve to win even though she worked really hard and she deserved it.

People have debated that some particular people shouldn't have the same rights as others and others think the opposite. With Nina winning miss America for the Indian American population of America she a completed a huge stepping stone for them and how others view them. I think that this article is trying to get you think about the major achievement Nina has won for her society and race. I looked up this girl and she is gorgeous! I'm sure that she deserved to win this. I think its so sad that people are trying to rain on her parade. I wish people could stop being so closed minded and just be happy for her.
