SUMMARY: A couple of days ago CNN submitted an article on a young teenage guy who decided to step into a role fairly mature yet scarce for a kid his age. Nicholas is the 15 year old child of a lady who works for various homeless shelters within Rhode Island. So when he was 5, one day he decided to go to work with his mother, and insisted that he show off his light up shoes to all of the other kids at the shelter. However, his mother objected for him to do so, considering that more than likely the other children at that facility are not as fortunate to have such things as Nicholas, like shoes, which at 12 years old, prompted him to start a program providing homeless children with decent shoes to wear to school. Today he is 15, and says he refuses to let his age hinder him from performing the works he does. The name of the program is the "Gotta Have Sole Foundation", donating 10,000 shoes to children over 21 states. Nicholas is greatly admired for his acts of kindness, and it is evident that he is a leader, and I couldn't think of a better way to start than helping out the less fortunate.
ANALYSIS: The article was Created by Laura Klairmont, who seems to be in total agreement with everything Nicholas is doing with this foundation. It was created at CNN, at 5:12 on September 26, 2013. The article was simply made to make us all aware of the great things and initiative that todays youth are taking in society, and maybe to make people who could benefit from the organization informed on the foundation. It has an overall positive influence on the audience, and In addition to other things, I think considering there are nearly 2 million kids homeless in the United States, its very relevant, significant, and kind of a big deal. And the fact that Nicholas Lowinger, a young teen, can help in some aspect with this epidemic, is truly spectacular.
