Joseph
Straw writes for the New York Daily News on Septemeber 23, 2013 about an
Islamic group with valid U.S. passports suspected for committing the Kenya
shopping mall attack. Fifty people were killed and 205 injured, as we know of
currently. The possession of U.S. passports frightens many American citizens.
The threat is heavy on the shoulders of our country. Chairmain Michael McCaul
states, “When you have 50 Americans, up to 50 Americans, trained to fight the
war in terrorism, the idea that they could come back to the United States is a
real valid concern," McCaul tells CNN.
Nearly
half of the Islamic group has been reported dead from either gun battles,
suicide bombings or on account of their own doings. 21 members are unaccounted
for. It is highly possible that we have American citizens that we have no record
of. A Twitter message has surfaced recently that three Americans are with a
Nairobi attacker group. An FBI official states that confirmation is yet to be
declared.
