Summary: On September 22, 2013 at approximately 10:30pm a college lost one of their most valuable players. Ben Flick of University of Cincinnati was injured and killed in a car accident alongside two of his other friends, both injured but thankfully still alive. Ben Flick was a 19 year old freshman who was an offensive linemen. His friends, Mark Barr, and Javon Harrison were also members of a football team. Barr attended Fort Lauderdale, and Javon in Dayton, Ohio. Both were admitted into Cincinnati University Medical Center. According to "CNN", college football teams are keeping Flick, and his fellow college football buddies in prayer. In addition, a another college has lost a football team member. It appears as if major college football is going through tough times right now. In conclusion, although the University of Cincinnati had to suffer this horrible loss, they will resume their games, unfortunately, bearing that heavy weight on their shoulders.
Analysis: This article was created by Mark Chiari, a columnist with CNN. The article was reported September 22, 3013. I think the article was written for college alumni, students, staff, and anyone else affiliated with a university in any way. More specifically, college football teams. The article is important because considering that college football, or football in general is major in our country, anything to this capacity pertaining to it, is significant. This can also be used to raise awareness to college students, or people in general, to drive more careful. Its quite unfortunate that these acts have to happen, but they do, but together we need to do something about driving safely, and in the process, we must continue to pray.
