Patience Henderson 1st Period; Victim's Family Releases Video of His Death

May 8th, Marlon Brown was being chased by a DeLand, Florida police because he wasn't wearing his seatbelt. They came up on a dead-end and Marlon jumped out the car and started to run. Police officer James Harris hit and ran over Marlon ending up killing him. Officer Harris's dashcam caught the whole incident on tape. The tape shows Harris' police car following two other cops cars into a residential street and onto the grass lot; the other two vehicles stop but Harris continues to chase Brown. As his car approaches Brown stumbles and falls and disappears under the hood. When he went to court the grand jury decided not to file a criminal charge of vehicular manslaughter, and after that the family decided to make the video public. "We knew it wasn't going to be an easy video to watch," says Krystal Brown the ex-wife and mother of Brown's children, "but in order to obtain justice, and that's what we're looking for, we knew it was something that we had to do."

Honestly, I feel like if he hadn't of jumped out of the car and started running he would still be alive. Not saying what the officer did was right in anyway, but the most i feel would have happened would have been a ticket; unless he had way more to hide. He wouldn't have ran unless there was something deeper than him just not having his seatbelt on. On the other hand, I am kind of uncertain how I feel about the officer. Although, he didn't do it on purpose it was an accident he didn't know Brown was going to trip and fall. His family just simply wants justice and I don't think that their is anything wrong with that.
