Beyonce, Deadmau5 and Phoenix Kick Off Made in America- Madison Russell

"Bleary-eyed from some combination of heat exhaustion, dancing and alcohol, the crowd came alive as Beyoncé took the stage to deliver the final performance of the day." This opening for the article on the Budweiser Made In America festival was effective in catching my attention- Beyoncé is a queen. The text when on to describe with great detail the songs that Mrs. Carter performed and the resulting events that took place. Her set seemed to receive more coverage in the article than any other that was described.
Written by Erin Coulehan and Steve Baltin, this article fell under the "Arts & Entertainment" subsection of the "Music" section on yahoo! music. Yahoo! gives credit to the source, "This article originally appeared on Rolling Stone: Beyonce, Deadmau5 and Phoenix Kick Off Made in America."
Next, Walk the Moon's set was described, followed by a mini-interview of the band's bassist, Kevin Ray. The story had a hint of excitement about it, just as the rest of the article appeared to have. Phoenix (one of the best bands), Deadmau5, Empire of the Sun, A$AP Rocky, EDM, Public Enemy, and Imagine Dragons were then highlighted, with a list of some other acts who had performed at the ending.
With every act came a specific description, making them all sound interesting and different in their own ways. While I knew of a good number of the acts listed, the ones that I did not know (Empire of the Sun and Public Enemy) sounded entertaining and were well covered.
The article itself was pleasant to read and seemed to be a reliable source of information. There weren't really any opinions in the article, it all seemed to be subjective fact. I enjoyed my time reading it. If you enjoy the acts listed above, then I think you will enjoy your read- hopefully. It is easy to scroll through and only read about acts that pertain to your musical interests.
