The "Electric Zoo Music Festival" in New York was cancelled after 2 deaths and 4 hospital injuries  occurred
Due to drug related incidents. 2 women were not only injesting, but also selling the drug known as Ecstasy in
It's "pure" form. After the two women died the festival, the NYPD cancelled the 3 day Music Festival
two days into it.

Response:
What in the actual heck? If its explicitly stated in the "Rules" that bad attitudes, drugs, and weapons are one of the 22 things you're not allowed to bring, then why would you bring them?
It's not like they're asking or telling you that you're not allowed to "have fun" they're just saying that you're not allowed to do hard drugs in order to have fun.
Here's the thing, when you're on Ecstasy, basically all you do is trip out. I mean you can even fully focus on the music or what's going on around you.
So why waste $179 dollars a day in order to just lay on the ground in a drugged up haze? Why ruin the festival for thousand of other festival goers just so you can get high? And not only that, you're going against every drug dealers order by both taking and selling them in there
true form. That's stupid. But that's just my opinion, I mean tbh forreal though.

  1. After reading this I discussed the article with my dad who came up with a good point of view but still caused an aggravating response to that situation. His point was as a parent, knowing that if a possible life damaging drug was sold at a concert I could have been at was: "Knowing you could no longer be in a place where serious drugs had the possibility to have been slipped into your drink would be much more reassuring then the thought someone else could just replace those who were caught."
I understand, but for those who will not be refunded stands way above in numbers than the few who made the mistake of purchasing/ consuming ecstacy

  2. Its so crazy that people are willing to risk their lives for a couple of bucks. It's so cliche, but you seriously don't need drugs to have a good time, I mean it's a music festival, what more fun could you want. Some people go to crazy lengths to be cool or accepted.
