The deadline to avoid another government shut down and no one has any idea if Trump will sign it or not considering the funds are $5.7 billion short. He has been pushing hard on the boarder wall, and is not known for his ability to compromise. The vote is supposed to take place in the House and Senate on Thursday. The legislation must be signed to help 800,000 federal workers keep their jobs and avoid another shutdown. Trump has not told anyone in his staff or other congressional leaders or the public if he will sign the measure or not.
Trump's behavior is unethical. Depriving millions of government workers from paychecks that they depend on is disgusting. The fact that Trump has taken this action to build a wall rather than to reform the immigration system makes no logical sense. Why would the government spend time and money on a temporary fix rather than rebuilding the system that is the root of the issue.
