Coal Mining Disastrously Damages Water -- Rose Tharp

A town in West Virginia is facing orange colored water that could contain arsenic. Residents claim the water discoloration and contamination is due to coal mines nearby which are using unsafe techniques for mining. Residents have been forced to cook and drink bottled water, because the water coming from their taps is leading to disease and ultimately, cancer.

Does anyone remember Flint? Flint STILL does not have completely clean water, and we know we need clean water for just about anything. Due to poor regulation, just like in Flint, Coal Mining companies completely disregard the danger they may be putting citizens in. This could cause permanent damage to an entire area of residents.
