Gordon which just started out as a severe storm as of Monday morning is now expecting to bring a stage one hurricane to the border of Alabama and Florida panhandle. Its expecting 4 - 6 inches of rain when it hits and even more as the days go. In addition to flash floods, tornadoes are a possibility through Monday night along the southern and west - central Florida peninsula.

This article was published September 3, 2018 by CBS NEWS and is constantly updated with new information on Gordon. Sadly weather is one thing that we cant control but we can control how we push past and rebuild everything that has been destroyed. Every storm will be different and different approaches can be taken on how to handle the damage but we need to look back and learn the from past storms. We need to be prepared for the worst possibilities and come together to help each other in the time of needs.

  1. I definitely agree that people living in Alabama and Florida should look to the past for hurricane survival tactics. Just last year when Irma hit both Florida and Alabama, they prepared by setting up mandatory evacuation systems and kept their gas tanks full, and those preparing for Gordon should do the same.
