Tensions have been forming since Trump replied with a twitter message to Jay-Z's interview on "The Van Jones Show". They disagreed on the topic of African American unemployment in the US. Trump quickly responded to Jay-Z saying on twitter that since he became president the African American unemployment rate has dropped. Jay-Z agreed that the unemployment rate has dropped but argued that Trump isn't "listening to the voices of the black community".
This is good that someone has addressed this problem and hopefully Trump has heard and will listen. Even though it's 2018, the black community still isn't fully being treated as equals and we need to do something to change that. Our president should be just as invested and see them as equally as important as him. Hopefully Trump will hear this message and realizes how he needs to change.
