Now, Apple is known for making products that improve people's lives. People who can afford it, anyways. However, Apple, as well as many other big-name corporations, never hesitate to find a way to stand up for social injustices. Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, released a statement, commenting on the importance of education, saying, "We believe that education is a great equalizing force, and we share the Malala Funds' commitment to give every girl an opportunity to go to school." Malala is a young woman, who, in 2013, was shot in the face as a consequence for trying to attend school in Pakistan. Her story is now being told throughout the world as a story of bravery and courage in pursuit of a proper education. It has been practically impossible for a woman to get an education in Pakistan, and Malala standing up against this is a major, not only feminist, but worldwide change that our society needed.
