The article explains how Mr.Trump wanted to fired Robert S. Mueller III. Mr. Mueller is in a council seeing the Russian investigation. This would have mark the 2nd firing of a personal overseeing the Russian investigation. In the article, it states that Donald F. McGahn II, part of the white house counsel, refused to ask the Justice Department to fire Mr. Mueller instead he was going to quit himself. Mr.Trump then back down on is ideas of firing Mr. Mueller. He had 3 reasons for firing Mr. Mueller. First, Mueller had work in law firm that representing the president’s son-in-law which would have a bias on the investigation. Second, he and Mr. Mueller had had a dispute on fees at Trump National Golf Club in Sterling,this apparently cause Mr. Mueller to quit. Thirdly, Mr. Mueller had been interviewed to return as the F.B.I. director the day before he was appointed special counsel in May. After the situation had calmed down ,news spread and Mr.Trump stated “Fake news, folks, Fake news. A typical New York Times fake story.”
Opinion:
I feel that this move just shows how suspicions Trump is being about this whole investigation. Also the fact that he dismissed the allegations even thought they are true, shows how twisted he is.
