On Sunday, thousands of people were in the Sam Boyd stadium near Las Vegas, calling attention towards women's rights and equality, along with urging supporters and allies to vote in the year's midterm elections. The rally was mainly focused on using activism to generate concrete action at the ballot box. Sundays marches also were a display of resistance towards Trump because many feared the administration could threaten women's rights. The marches were not only in Las Vegas, but also in Seattle, Miami, Phoenix, and many other cities throughout the world.
I think these marches are great and it's awesome that people still have the courage and power to speak up about what they believe in in a peaceful way. Whenever we have activities like these where we all come together in a nonviolent way to voice our opinions and beliefs, it helps our cause so much more than if we did it in a crazy and unsafe way.
