Katelyn Thompson- Iranian-American imprisoned in Iran given 4-day leave after hospitalization
https://www.cnn.com/2018/01/28/politics/baquer-namazi-iran/index.html
Baquer Namazi is an Iranian- American who has been in Iranian prison since February of 2016. Recently he has been released from prison and discharged from and Iranian hospital and granted a 4 day leave from the Iranian government. Namazi is the father of Simack Namazi who has been detained since October of 2015. This isn't first time Baquer has been in the hospital. He has had multiple heart problems and has been on the transplant list for a while now but will be detained. The American government has promised the family that they will do everything they can to get Baquer as well as his son back home.
This is a very intriguing story because it almost feels as if its being used so the government can cover up the way they've been treating immigrants with involving the DREAM act. Let's hope that this father and son get back safely because they are Americans and it would be an injustice to let them rot for another second. This can be related to when Chinese immigrants were coming to America during the New Imperialistic Age.
