Recently in California wildfires have wrought havoc on the state. They began Sunday night and have blown up cars, houses, and caused the evacuation of 20,000. All those citizens left behind homes and neighborhoods in ruin. The article then goes on to show a series of haunting before and after shots of picturesque California homes and landscapes reduced to ash.
It's interesting to contrast articles about tragedies like natural disasters, to ones about politics. There really is nothing as one-sided than a natural disaster, nobody is really rooting for the fire to win, which is why the unbiased journalism produced is such a change from the endless think-pieces and "here's what you need to know" articles about the political climate of America. The tragedy in California is a humbling reminder that no matter the state of the Government, or the population disasters can still bring us all to the same playing field of survival.
This is a sad event, that I hope California can recover from, safely and fast.
