Miles Shickman 10/23

Catalonia has been pushing for its independence recently, and the Spanish government has finally had enough. They moved for the first time ever to dissolve Catalonia's local government, imposing direct Spanish rule over it. Losing Catalonia would be a huge hit to Spain, since its richest cities, including Barcelona, are in Catalonia. Catalonia would also face many problems, such as negotioating independently with the European Union. All in all, it's a complicated issue, but I support the Catalonians.
