Isabella Hambleton- huge northeast power outage from massive storm

On Monday, a huge storm blew through the Northeast leaving almost 1.5 million people without power. With this disaster many schools were forced to close. The storm caused many flash floods with high pulsing winds, leaving many trees and branches to break and fall. Luckily, there were no major injuries caused by this storm. The main concern of this storm was the high winds. Even without the rain it was said that the winds were so strong they could knock you down. A lot of power lines were taken out and caused many power outages in the area.  At this point, they are trying to get the power back up and running for homes and buildings and repair and damages made by the storm though the power could take a number of days to come back on.
This article written by Travis Fedschun for Fox News is to provide us with information about the updates of the storm in the northeast. Think that we have had a tremendous amount of storms and hurricanes in the past year and the numbers just seem to keep growing. Luckily this storm didn't have the affect of Harvey or Irma which caused massive destruction and left many without power and shelter. Hopefully this storm passes by and the power outages and small damages are repaired as soon as possible.

  1. I crazy to think about the large number of storms that have occurred this year. However, it is good to hear that the communities are able to get back on their feet.
