Caroline Carter-former Trump adviser accused of lying to FBI

George Papadopoulos, former foreign policy adviser to Trump on his campaign for president, has admitted to lying to FBI agents about a meeting he had with a Russian accomplice who had "dirt" on Hillary Clinton. This happened shortly after Trump's campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, was charged with conspiring against the United States and laundering money, among other things. These charges are further evidence of Trump's questionable Russian connections in regards to the 2016 election. The accompanying documents are also the first official proof of such goings-on.

This is very similar to the practice of mudslinging that arose around the time that Jackson took office. This has the power to alter elections and affect the country. If there had not been such a scandal around the discovery of Clinton's deleted emails and the Trump campaign had not dedicated so much time to exposing said emails this past election may have turned out much differently. This ad hominem attacking is also bad for voters, because it often convinces them to vote or not vote for a particular individual based on their personality rather than their policies.

  1. This makes people who supported Trump truly question his honesty and integrity as our president and makes them think that they probably bid on the wrong horse.
