During the Las Vegas shooting there was a thirty year old African American man who helped to save reportedly more than 30 people's lives while he was injured himself. Jonathan Smith is interviewed about the shooting and the aftermath of it. The hero took two bullets to the neck, in which doctors are saying will be there permanently as they are unable to remove the bullets.
He is credited with keeping the death toll from rising higher than what it could have been. He gives all credit to the off duty officer that dragged him to safety and even put his own fingers in his bullet wounds to stop the bleeding. Jonathan then admits that it probably wasn't the smartest choice to risk his life in such a way but he says if the tables were turned he would want someone to do the same for him.
