World Series Balls are Slicker by Victoria Valdez

The Astros and the Dodgers baseball teams are reporting the the World Series baseballs are slicker than the ones used during the regular game season.  The pitchers have definitely noticed it and it is affecting their pitching.  They report that they can't throw sliders like they could normally.

This is very strange and it seems like there should be a thorough investigated into this.  Why are the baseball materials different in the World Series than in the regular season?
