Myeshia Johnson, the widow of of Sgt. La David Johnson, has talked about what went on during the phone call Trump made to her on Good Morning America. On there, she had talked about how disappointed she was with the call and that the President kept stumbling over La David's name, hinting that the only reason he knew it was because the report was right in front of him. It was also reported that Trump had said that Johnson, "knew what what he signed up for, but I guess it still hurt." and Myeshia was upset at the tone of his voice. Of course, Trump is denying all these claims and has tweeted that he, "had a very respectful conversation with the widow of Sgt. La David Johnson, and spoke his name from beginning, without hesitation!"
I think this whole situation is very messy and unclear because I don't know how either sides can really prove what was spoken unless the phone call was recorded or something. Regardless, it's very sad that Myeshia's husband passed away and I bet all of this attention from the media and the press could make the healing process for her and those that were close to him even more difficult than it already is.
