Summary: Donald Trump goes to a black church in Detroit and first is met with protesters. He then enters the church, he took a selfie with a church member. Finally, he addressed congregation with a message of unity. He said that we were too divided, and that it's time to talk to each other than past each other. Trump then quoted a scripture from John 4:12 that reads, "No one has seen God, but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us."
Synopsis: When Donald Trump went to an African American dominated church, there was a lot of speculations about his intentions. This reminds me of John Brown (without the killing of fellow man part) because of his want for liberation and unity for all. Before Trump's arrival in Detroit, I knew of his and Hilary's attempts to get the African American vote. In my opinion, Hilary beat Donald to the punch and him now just doing it is kind of making him seem desperate. I believe this because some blacks feel as if he is a racist man who if wins the election will make our lives harder than they already are. If only did this in the beginning, then probably not so many will be so cautious.
